Maths Confusion

A series of papers on mathematics education by researchers at Hiroshima University. Various aspects were examined, including the history of mathematics education in Japan, the evolution of mathematics textbooks and the different styles of ‘lesson study’ (teachers getting together to decide the best lesson content). This was a fairly massive project at 52,000 words spread over five weeks – and that was only half of it. 52,000 x 2 ÷ 5 = 20,800 words/week!
