‘X vs Y’: Automotive Litigation Case

Client: R.R. Donnelley (Hong Kong)

Nov. - Dec. 2012

An automotive parts supplier with an interest in Japan and China was engaged in some kind of litigation or judicial process, but of course, being mere mortals, we are not made privy to the details. All we are given is a pile of documents (mainly emails), some of which may be of some use to the lawyers. These contained around 32,000 words of translation and kept us occupied for five weeks in the runup to Christmas.

Sample dialog

A: “Let’s meet at restaurant X in Shanghai.”

B: “It no longer exists.”
